Now you can easily manage chat notifications on Flow. This is part of the Flow Mega Update (2025).

What Types of Notifications are There?

1. Chat Notifications

A New Message from the Host: An audio notification appears when a host sends a message in the attendee chat. This notification can be managed through the settings in the webinar room.

    1. To turn the notification on or off, click the Settings gear button at the upper right area (old room layout) or in the Toolbar at the bottom (new room layout)
    2. From the pop-up box (Settings panel), find the "Toggle Chat Notification Sound" option
    3. Toggle it (enable): By default, it is set to off. To turn the chat notification ON, click the toggle. Once it is on, it appears as shown in the image below.

    2. Announcements with Lower Thirds

    When a host sends an announcement, it also plays a chime. This notification cannot be turned off. See how this works.

    3. Presence Polls 

    During education webinars, hosts use presence polls to check your presence and attentiveness. This also plays an audio notification. By design, this notification is prevented from turning off.
