A presenter guide

Flow runs on many devices as it does not require software installations, and is smooth on processors and graphics devices. The main requirement is having a recent version of a major web browser (while we support browsers from non-major vendors).

System Requirements

Recommended Setup

  • Operating System: Windows 11, latest macOS, latest Chrome OS, or Ubuntu 22.04+
  • Browsers: Latest Chrome, Edge, Firefox/Waterfox, or Safari
  • Connectivity: 5-10 Mbps (Hardwired Ethernet preferred) for Presenters (Screen Sharing)
  • Microphone and Webcam: Wired USB Headset (prevents echo/latency), 1080p External USB Webcam
What browsers are NOT RECOMMENDED but might still work (if it does not, use a common web browser such as Chrome)
  • Brave
    • Duckduckgo
    • Tor
    • Norton
    • Comodo
    • Maxthon.

Optimal Setup and Best Practices

  • A quiet room with no background noise: Use an Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) microphone for the best outcome.
  • Webcam Environment: For optimal webcam performance, you should wear solid-colored, matte clothing in rich jewel tones, while ensuring you have bright, diffused light placed in front of your face. The goal is to maximize contrast between you and your background while minimizing glare, shadows, and distracting patterns.
  • Backup Internet: In case your connection goes down
  • Backup computer/device: In case the device experiences technical issues
  • Dry Run: The most important readiness step is to do a dry run at least 5 days before the event (initial prep), and another 24 hours before the event. Ensure all the resources are in place, all the invitations have been sent, and all the presenters are notified (with reminders set), onboarding to the webinar software is completed, and the dry run succeeded.
  • Handouts: All the resources you need (printed copies).
