Sometimes, when you join a webinar room, you may see a spinning circle (in Blue/Teal color). The following conditions apply here. Appropriate fixes/resolutions should be attempted as guided below.
What causes the spinning circle?
There can be a few reasons for this.
  1. Case 1: As soon as you join the webinar room/event, you may see the following dialog box within a few seconds (see the screenshot below). This dialog box must be accepted in order to see the screen sharing/slides and other media modules. You may still hear audio while the spinning circle exists (in some cases, you may not hear audio as well)
  2. Case 2: You are constantly loosing connection
  3. Case 3: Your connection is interrupted by a firewall/VPN system.

Case 1: Troubleshooting Guide

Why do you see this Dialog box?
  • This is a default security standard applied to all browsers to deal with WebRTC (the new technology we use) permissions and security. We cannot prevent or bypass it as it is a global standard.
  • If you miss this dialog box (as it may close automatically after few moments in Chrome for example), you only see the spinning circle with/without audio dialog box
How to Resolve the Issue
  1. What if this does not show up or you missed it?
    • Reload the page
  2. What if this dialog box does not show up at all?

Case 2: Connection Problems

If none of these methods work, you may have a problem with your connection. To find out the problem, use our network diagnostic tool and run the test there and contact us.

Case 3: Connection Interruption (Firewall/VPN Issues)

To find out if something is blocking your connection, use the following tools.
  1. Run this diagnostic test: https://webrtccheck.flowapp.com/ (refer to the guide for troubleshooting)
  2. Network Speed test: https://diag.flowapp.com/speedtest/

If you see any issues with the first test, and if you are using a work/company internet or a network that may be behind a VPN, please follow the guide below.
