AV Remote Control allows a moderators/host to Manage Audio/Video/Screen Sharing for the Other Hosts/Presenters.

What does the Audio Visuals Remote Control Tool do?

With AV Control (AV Remote Control), you can,
  • Turn On/Off Microphone, Webcam, or Screen Sharing remotely (the presenter still has to accept the request)
  • Bring a Host/Presenter On or Off-AirLearn more on On-air and Off-air (Click Me)...
  • Keep track whether the presenter is connected to the room, and the device state.

Usage Scenarios

Scenario 1: During a live event Steve, a presenter is not familiar with enabling deices.
Solution: A host clicks the AV Controls and then clicks Steve's microphone to turn it on. Steve sees the request and accepts it, configures the devices and the device is turned on for him.

Scenario 2: During a live event, Gerald is screen sharing. Steve wishes to speak with Gerald to audience, about a medical device.
Solution: A moderator clicks AV Controls and then click On-Air when Steve enables his devices. Since Screen Sharing allows only one person assigned to the block, now two presenters successfully on-air with the help of the AV Controls feature.

Modes

1. During Prep Mode

During Prep Mode, the AV Controls are on what we call "Conference Mode". This facilitates communicating among all hosts/presenters regardless the ON AIR state.

2. Live Mode

Once you start the event, AV Controls enter the LIVE mode.

3. COACHING Mode - Can I Speak with Presenters while Off Air without the Audience Hearing?

Hosts can speak without audience hearing or seeing them. This is great if you coach new presenters!

Hide All Video Streams from the Stage

AV Control Panel has an option to hide all the webcam streams from the deck. Use this option to do so:
  1. Click Show presenter portraits and webcam videos on stage. By default it is enabled
  2. When you click it toggles to the left temporarily hiding the webcam footages
  3. Toggle right to enable it back.
