Introduction

The Webinato platform utilizes unique Honeycomb technology to support thousands of participants with high-quality audio and fast image transmission. To ensure the highest quality during large events (sessions with more than 500 attendees), we recommend following these technical and administrative best practices.

Technical Preparation

  • Notify Technical Support: It is best to notify Webinato technical support 48 hours prior to any large event. This allows our engineers to prepare your room specifically for high-capacity traffic.
  • Pre-Upload Slide Shows: Upload your presentation at least two hours before the event begins. This ensures the slides propagate through our system for all attendees.
  • Merge Multiple Presentations: If using multiple slide shows, merge them into a single file before uploading. This prevents lag or interruptions caused by loading new files mid-conference.
  • Audio Interaction Management

  • Audio Testing: Test your microphone well before the session begins. It is best practice to have a backup microphone ready in case of hardware failure.
  • The eCurtain Feature: Admins can test audio with the eCurtain down. Audio is not sent to attendees while the curtain is down, allowing for final adjustments.
  • Privatize the Room: For large groups, it is recommended to set the room to "Privatized" mode. This prevents attendees from seeing each other's chat, reducing distractions and helping them focus on your message.
  • Setting Up a Technical Support Chat Tab (Dedicated)

To prevent technical questions from cluttering the general chat, add a dedicated "Technical Support" tab.
    1. Go to your Admin Page and select Modify Room Settings.
    2. Check the Alternate Chat Tab option.
    3. Name the tab "Technical Support" and uncheck the "For Admins/Presenters Only" box.

    Optimizing Performance

  • Reduce Projections: When sharing your desktop, try to limit the number of times you stop and restart the projection. Each new projection requires all attendees to reconnect to the image stream.
  • Disable Two-Window Mode: To avoid issues with pop-up blockers, disable the "Two-Window" mode for attendees under Modify Room Settings > Room Access.
